A NEW ERA OF SOUND, DESIGN AND NIGHTLIFE
Experimental Cocktail Club Chinatown, London’s long-celebrated drinking hub, makes its triumphant return this autumn following a full reimagining of its interior, fifteen years after it first opened its doors. ECC reopens its discreet, unmarked door with a new identity, one shaped by design, music, and an ambitious cocktail programme. Spread over two floors, the new ECC Chinatown continues the story that began in 2010 with designer Dorothée Meilichzon, offering a 1920s-inspired bar in the heart of London, ideal for a drink with friends, a date night, or moonlit cocktails.
Bookings for ECC are taken online and via email. Our slots shown online are the most up-to-date availability for groups of up to 6 guests.
For groups 7+, or if you prefer to speak with us directly for smaller groups, please email reservation@chinatownecc.com. As always, we keep room for walk-ins, on a first come, first served basis.
Our reservation desk is open from Monday – Saturday until 5pm. Requests received after 5pm will be answered the following day.

MUSIC
At the core of ECC's relaunch is its focus on its music programme, conceived as a listening room as much as a cocktail bar. A weekly programme draws from an eclectic sonic palette: from sundown disco and ambient grooves, to live acoustic sets midweek, to electro house, French Touch, and rock-inflected nights that roll into the early hours.
Weekends pulse with Afro House, Amapiano, and warm house music, while Sundays close with an analogue-inspired ritual featuring curated playlists in the spirit of vintage vinyl, celebrating hip hop, soul, and R&B classics. In an era of constant documentation, ECC will also be introducing select no-phone nights where guests can get lost in the music and conversation.

DESIGN
Dorothée Meilichzon, founder of Paris-based Studio CHZON, is known globally for her ability to create hospitality spaces that feel both cinematic and intimate. Her design for ECC is deeply rooted in its surroundings: the rich history of London’s Gerrard Street and a tribute to Chinatown. Throughout, the space is a nod to the symbolic dragon, through scale-like patterns woven into carpeting, fabrics and a 1960s screen panel alongside bamboo, braided wood, mirrors and hues of purple, brown, and deep violet. The furniture is ultra-plush, upholstered in shimmering scale-like fabrics with stainless steel accents. The result is an atmosphere that is decadent and refined, a space where time slows, conversation deepens, and sound becomes central to the senses.
